Research Assistant Temporary

We are looking for another great person to join us on a temporary basis (six months +) as a Research Assistant in our Protein Sciences Department.?

The primary duties of this person will be:

*Maintenance and transient transfection of mammalian cell lines for protein production and harvesting of supernatants.

*Protein purification using various chromatography methods.

*Formulation and characterization of protein preparations by SDS-PAGE and Western blotting.

*Documentation of information and data gathering in laboratory notebooks.?

The qualifications of the ideal candidate are:

*Able to learn and practice good sterile laboratory techniques.

*Ability to work well in a team environment.

*Detail-oriented and diligent in performing experimental procedures and in documentation of data in laboratory notebooks.

*Ability to adapt and adjust to changing priorities and a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.

*BS in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related discipline; prefer at least one year experience in a biotechnology company performing protein expression and purification.
