Research Associate - Cloning/Vector Construction

Requirements:
A full-time Research Associate position is available immediately to assist in the High Throughput Cloning and Vector Construction Group. This position requires a BS/BA degree in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related field. Prior laboratory experience is highly desirable. Attention to detail, organizational skills, self-motivation, and the ability to multi-task are essential. Experience with computer data analyses is helpful. Must be able to work in a fast paced, team oriented atmosphere.


Responsibilities:
To assist in the high throughput cloning pipeline using basic molecular biology techniques such as DNA extractions, PCR, restriction digests, ligations, DNA sequence analysis, E.coli transformation, and other cloning procedures. Also knowledge of vector construction and agrobacteria transformation is a plus. Individual will be expected to maintain lab notebook, maintain LIMS system to track constructs, communicate issues with supervisor, trouble-shoot and resolve matters in a timeline fashion, multitask across several protocols, and work within a team-oriented environment with continual communication with peers.
