?Yoh Scientific has an opening for a Research Associate II in the East Bay Area.? This is a temporary position expected to last 4 to 5 months.

Summary & Scope of Position:?

?

Performs research and/or development activities in support of multiple projects.

Main requirements are experience with bacteria, plating, and cell culture.

?

Primary Responsibilities:?

?

????????? Execute experiments, make observations, analyze data and interpret results, either independently or as a team member.

????????? Development and performance of contaminating microbes assays for Bacillus and Francesella and performance of the assay for Listeria constructs.

????????? Mycoplasma testing, both in support of CRS100 and CRL 207 clinical immune monitoring and for Microbiology QC.

????????? Perform bacterial inactivation studies in support of RBC processing conditions and device development.

????????? Participate in the validation of new methods.

????????? Maintain laboratory instruments.

????????? Document work in laboratory notebook in an accurate and timely manner.

????????? Drafts summary reports, protocols and quantitative analyses.

????????? May present results at departmental meetings.

????????? Maintain familiarity with current scientific literature.

????????? Contribute to project process within his/her scientific discipline.

????????? Assist in identifying patentable inventions.

????????? Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications/Requirements/Skills:?

?

????????? Bachelor?s degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.

????????? Basic understanding of laboratory procedures, equipment, and computerized data handling.

????????? Solid understanding of GLP requirements.

????????? Team-oriented

????????? Flexible; ability to adapt to changing priorities

????????? Good communication skills (encompasses verbal, written, interpersonal, listening)

????????? Time management (schedules, time lines, task prioritization)

????????? Attention to detail.
