Position Description:

Duties and Responsibilities

The student will work in the laboratories of the Department of Global Pharmacokinetics and Metabolism. Following appropriate training, the student will conduct quantitative analysis, primarily by high performance liquid chromatography, of drugs and metabolites in biological fluids. Following analysis, the student will prepare data summaries using computerized analysis and reporting. As part of this opportunity, the student will gain exposure to method development in the bioanalytical area, including the use of the latest technologies such as LC-MS/MS. In addition, the student will gain exposure to the process of drug development with particular emphasis on the role of Clinical Pharmacokinetics and Metabolism in the process.

Qualifications:

Knowledge/Skills/Formal Education

- College level courses in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or Microbiology.
- Familiarity with computers desirable.
- A desire to pursue a graduate education in pharmaceutical sciences or a career in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
- The student must have good interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
