SAS Programmer Clinical Data Programmer

Job Description:   The Clinical Data Programmer (CDP) provides SAS programming support for all assigned projects.  This support will be relative to the core data management functions and will include programming for the electronic edit checks, data listings, patient profiles, data tables, and any ad hoc requests.  The CDP will be responsible for performing program validation and testing, and providing documentation of such for inclusion in the Data Management Plan (DMP).  Additionally, the CDP will be the programming liaison with the Data Manager in support of database design and development.

 

Requirements:
Minimum of 2-3 years programming experience in the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology or related industry. 
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
SAS programming skills, with experience in Base SAS, SAS AF, FSP, MACRO, SQL and various other important SAS modules.
SAS Application development experience utilizing SAS AF and related software. 
Experience in the development, administering and reporting of Clinical Trial Databases. 
Ability to manage multiple projects / requests for programming support at the same time. 
Ability to provide creative solutions to complex problems, and to use ?out of the box? thinking when approached with a complex issue. 
Work habits:  including producing, clean, well-organized and user-friendly programs that are succinct and well documented.  Ability to establish standard programming methods relative to the actual textual representations of the program.
