Almac Diagnostics develops, markets and supplies, leading edge genomic expression services and products that will radically improve the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
Almac Diagnostics is preparing to expand into the US by opening its first US operation in Durham, NC.  This facility is scheduled to open in September 2006, and we will be looking for the following talent:
SALES MANAGER

OVERALL OBJECTIVES: 


1. Lead, motivate and develop the USA Academic / Biotech Sales Team.


2. Achieve targeted sales for the channels in the region.


3. Responsible for sales to key accounts nationally.


4. As part of the US Management team contribute to the business strategy for the service division.


 


PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES: 





5. Achieve Sales targets


6. Lead and motivate Sales Team


7. Complete Team


8. Coach and Develop Team


9. Implement appropriate measures and reporting alongside commission structure.


10. Develop and implement sales plan


11. Implement and manage CRM database


12. Key Account Sales


13. Development of quarterly and annual sales projections


14. Developing and implementing Best Practice Approach to selling services





GENERAL DUTIES:





15. Regular co-travel with team


16. Regular Sales Meetings and performance reviews


17. Reporting monthly to GM and Head Office


18. Work closely with Marketing to implement Sales and Marketing Strategy


19. Recruitment / Sales training and coaching


20. Attend Key Conferences


REQUIREMENTS:

Degree in Business or Life Sciences
At least 4 years sales management experience
Revenue responsibility
Direct sales experience in the scientific sector
Strong negotiation, organizational, communication and leadership skills
Ability to motivate a team
Previous experience selling to academia and/or biotech
