We have openings/needs in the following areas:

 

Molecular Research Associate /Sr. Research Associate (All Levels)

BA/BS in Molecular Biology or related field with 1-10 years experience in molecular research. Duties include gene library construction, genomic DNA extraction, PCR, and hybridization. Microbiology, DNA extraction & manipulation, restriction enzyme digests a plus. Must haves: DNA Extraction or purification, PCR Enzyme work with DNA, and Gel electrophoresis

 

Discovery Research Associate

The discovery group is currently seeking for a research associate. This position requires a B.S. or M.S. degree in molecular biology or cell biology with at least three years of working experience.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the generation and development of antibodies. Duties will include hybridoma generation and characterization, assay and technology development that will enable the identification of functional antibodies. Prior experience with hybridomas and antibody generation is highly desirable.

Molecular Biology - person still has to have Tissue culture experience.  Person also needs to be able to think and will have to be able to conduct CLONING (PCR, transformations, ETC) independently.  Person will also conduct protein expression (ELISA, Westerns, SDS-PAGE, etc).

 

Research Associate Cell Biologist

Cell Biologist to perform ex vivo and in vitro mechanism of action studies for hematopoietic activity of compounds used to treat myelosuppression resulting from chemotherapy and radiation. Assay systems include both primary cells (e.g. mouse splenocytes) and permanent cell lines.
Requirements: Cell biologist with three to five years experience in hematopoiesis or immunology.  BA or MA degree in biological science.

 

Chemist
Responsible for the formulation and testing of molecular biology grade reagents.  Operates all manufacturing equipment.

Education and Experience:

Requires Bachelor's in a chemistry or biological science related field.  Experience in formulating chemical/and biological compounds following approved procedures/protocols, writing and maintaining SOPs/MRPs.  Strong documentation skills are essential and GMP/QSR experience is a plus. 

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
Formulates products using approved procedures
Follows SOPs, MRPs, and QTPs as new products and test procedures come on-line within reagent manufacturing.
Assists in maintaining build schedule and investigates potential manufacturing issues and inventory shortages.
Works with other departments (i.e. research, QA/QC, shipping and receiving) in order to assist in all matters related to operation's activities (e.g. product transfers, validations, product approval, and inventory reconciliation).
Maintains inventory accuracy in order to satisfy build requirements.
