Scientific Technician

Beckman Coulter makes products that are used in hospital laboratories, physicians' offices and

group practices. The company provides a variety of systems for medical research, drug

discovery and biotechnology applications

The Scientific Technician facilitates the production and testing of intricate

production and pilot reagents, performing functions such as product formulation, pooling,

filling and other manufacturing in-process test, off-line and on-line label printing, autoclaving

production sub-assemblies, equipment and glassware.  Responsibilities include set up and processing

test data using various software programs; inspects, calibrates and adjusts equipment;

suggests process improvements and participates on CPI teams

 

Qualifications

Required experience: 1 -4 years of laboratory experience using basic chemistry lab equipment.

Strong documentation skills and working computer experience with MS Word and Excel and

database entry needed. Experience with chromatography equipment and cell culture highly

desired. Demonstrated experience in a GMP or GLP environment a plus. Preferred credentials

including educational background, certifications, licenses, etc., Associates Degree and

certification and license in medical/health care field.
