Scientist - API Development

Momenta Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is a leader in applying breakthroughs in understanding the chemistry and biology of complex sugars to the discovery, development, and commercialization of drug products.

 

We are currently seeking an energetic and diligent API Development Scientist to join our Pharmaceutical Sciences team.  The successful candidate will perform laboratory scale process development to support Momenta development programs.  You will also assist in chemical technology transfer, support and troubleshooting to contract manufacturers, provide leadership in process development/process optimization, and manage process validation programs.  In addition, you may prepare IND and ANDA CMC sections and technical reports, represent the process development function on project teams and prepare laboratory scale experimental compounds for discovery.

 

Qualifications:

 

? PhD Synthetic organic chemistry + 2-6 years preferred or MS with 5+ years.

 

? Industrial synthetic organic chemistry or chemical process development experience; experience with polysaccharides and/or cGMP a plus.

 

? Outstanding written and verbal skills as well as problem solving skills.

 

? Demonstrated team player with experience contributing to multi-disciplinary project teams and ability to work with minimal supervision.

 

? Strong initiative and ability to assume significant project management skills.

 

? Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, environment.

 

? Some Travel required
