The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers involved in analytical characterization of polymer coatings for use as medical devices. The candidate will be responsible for collecting and processing data related to the characterization of drug-eluting medical devices by several different analytical methods. The analytical methods include various forms of microscopy and spectroscopy. The successful candidate will be familiar with a variety of basic scientific techniques and laboratory equipment. He/she will conduct experiments, collect and analyze data, and report findings in a GMP compliant manner.




A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or equivalent discipline and 3-5 years of experience and/or training; or MS degree in Chemistry, or other Chemical Sciences, and 0-3 years of related experience and/or training is required. Experience with solid state analysis methods, such as interferometry, Raman spectroscopy and Atomic Force Microscopy are a plus.  Experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry. Good communication and presentation skills. Good organizational and problem-solving skills. Must work effectively in a team environment. Must be proficient with computers and software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
