Yoh Scientific has an opening for a Scientist in Valencia, CA. Our customer is a biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery, development and commercialization of therapeutic products for diseases such as diabetes and cancer.
Job Description:
Prepare blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from whole blood. Isolate dendritic and T cells from PBMCs. Generate antigen specific T cells by in-vitro antigen stimulation. Perform ELISPOT as well as flow cytometric analysis of cell under GCP(Good Clinical Practice). Aliquot and freeze cells for long-term storage. Keep accurate and timely records of experimental data.
Qualifications:
B.S./M.S. degree in the life sciences with at least 3 years of experience in culturing T cell and performing flow cytometry. Expertise in cell culturing, antibody staining, ELISPOT(or ELISA) and flow cytometry techniques is essential. Ability to utilize time and resources efficiently to accomplish assigned tasks is essential. Experience with cell sorting, cloning, protein purification, immunoassay development, data analysis, GCP, GLP, as well as proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing software are highly desirable.
