Scientist I

With limited supervision, operate in the R&D project team setting and support the goal and objective of the team.

 

 Responsibilities:

 

Analytical Focus:

* Develop and validate analytical methods for drug, impurities, preservative, and excipient in finished products and/or raw material according to time line.

* Coordinate analytical methods transfer to QC and Stability Study areas as appropriate.

* Perform and coordinate raw material and finished product qualification tests.

* Inventory R&D raw material for development

 

Product Development Focus:

* Design and conduct pre-formulation/formulation studies and assess new product feasibility.

* Coordinate the activities with Microbiology, Analytical, Quality Control, Manufacturing Groups, and outside testing laboratories.

* Perform compounding/compatibility studies which lead to scale up, pilot manufacturing process

* Assist in the preparation of pharmaceutical development section of submission

 

General duties:

* Maintain, calibrate laboratory equipment

* Write SOPs and technical protocols and reports

* Plan and conduct laboratory experiments, and analyze data

* Record experimental data, analyze results, and maintain accurate and up-to-date notebooks.

* Provide technical/procedure trainings for new personnel, as assigned.

 

* Follow Teva Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures.

* Other duties, as assigned, or as business needs require.

* Accurate and timely performance of all assigned tasks

* Increased technical skills and knowledge

* GMP compliant

 

 Requirements:

Education Required: Bachelor of Science or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Experience Required: Minimum 3 years; if Masters 0 years

Experience Preferred: Pharmaceutical industry

Specialized or Technical Knowledge, Licenses, Certifications needed: Knowledge of data acquisition systems, Spreadsheets

* Able to perform analyses; interpret and analyze data

* Capable of applying new technologies independently

 

Interpersonal

* Demonstrates the ability to interact effectively with peers and able to guide new personnel

* Good oral and written communication skills

 

Organization and Planning

* Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously

 

Problem Solving

* Demonstrates the ability to troubleshoot lab equipment
