Currently, we have an opening in out Mylan Pharmaceuticals division that develops, manufactures and markets nearly 200 generic pharmaceutical products in a variety of dosage forms and strengths.

 

Reporting directly to a Senior or Principal Scientist, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing analytical chemistry testing on pharmaceuticals products. This position operates semi-autonomously, and direction is given for project assignment and priority. This position may mentor other chemists and assistants.

 

The candidate is required to have one of the following: a Bachelor?s degree with 9 years experience, a Master?s degree with 3 years experience, or a Ph.D. The successful candidate must possess a strong understanding of analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical industry practice, and FDA regulations and guidances. The candidate must possess strong analytical laboratory skills as well as strong communication and reading skills. The candidate must have basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel, and the candidate must be able to effectively operate a computer based data acquisition system for chromatography. The candidate must be able to multi-task to work on multiple projects at the same time.

 

The candidate must have the ability to read and interpret complex business and/or technical documents and the ability to write comprehensive reports and detailed business correspondences. The candidate must be able to work with groups of people such as other departments and communicate know concepts. The candidate must be able to solve problems with a variety of concrete variable through semi-standardized solutions that require some ingenuity and analysis. The candidate must have the ability to draw inferences and follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve moderately complex problems.
