Senior Chemist -- Bioanalysis in Small and Growing CRO

Y-Point BioAnalytical is a small and growing Contract Research Organization that provides bioanalysis and protein characterization services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.  As a subsidiary of Wolfe Laboratories, Inc. (WLI), we are building on the reputation and customer base created over WLI?s seven years of success and growth (see www.wolfelabs.com).  The primary responsibilities of the Y-Point chemists are to provide high throughput bioanalysis and DMPK support for client drug discovery teams.

 

We are currently seeking highly motivated analytical chemists with mass spectrometry experience to participate as key contributors to the success and direction of the company. 

 

Successful candidates will assume critical roles in bioanalytical method establishment and validation as well as the quantitative analysis of pharmaceutical products in biological matrices by LC-MS/MS.

 

In addition, the candidates will be responsible for project management, preparation of research reports and effective client communication as well as the troubleshooting and maintaining of LC-MS/MS and other lab equipment.

 

Required background includes:

 

A degree in analytical chemistry, chemistry or a related field.  More specifically we are seeking individuals with a bachelor?s degree and a minimum of 7 years exp. OR a master?s degree and minimum 4 years exp. OR a Ph.D. and a minimum of 2 years exp. of industry related experience with expertise in bioanalysis.  

 

Experience in small molecule mass spectrometry in quantitative analysis, using LC-MS/MS, is required.

 

Experience in sample preparation of biological matrix (e.g., plasma, urine and tissues), fast HPLC separation and automation are also desirable.

 

Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills are essential.

 

Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and other common software is also required.
