BRIEF SUMMARY: Directly responsible for the management and outcome of all assigned clients.With minimum supervision, identifies, develops and manages business opportunities with existing and prospective clients for all services offered by JK Associates, Inc (JK).Responsible for generating business with new clients and expanding business with existing JK clients.Researches, writes and presents capabilities, proposals, and grant requests for new and existing clients.

 

MAIN DUTIESResponsible for identifying, creating, and developing business opportunities with companies/products not currently working with JK and expanding opportunities with current clients.Investigates, conceptualizes, and strategizes new ideas for medical communications programs customized to individual clients? budgetary needs and interests.Works closely with assigned project teams to ensure the successful implementation of all client programs.Runs/participates in project meetings, faculty, and pre-meeting conference calls with assigned project teams.Works with the Managing Partners, Project Director, and Editorial Director to develop proposals, including estimated costs, timelines, and deliverables.Creates contracts for new projects, oversees the invoicing of projects, and follows up on payment status.Develops client presentations and proposals on an as-needed basis.Represents JK at client meetings.Attends meetings for clients (advisory boards, speaker meetings, symposia conducted at major society meetings, etc.) and association meetings to network and identify new business opportunities.Responsible for providing client reports when necessary.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Education: College degree required

2. Experience: Product management and/or medical education or medical communications experience in the pharmaceutical industry required.

3. Other:  Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, must be proficient in MS Word and PowerPoint; working knowledge of the Internet and resourceful thinking abilities; flexibility and willingness to travel to clients and projects.

 

ENVIRONMENT AND DEMANDS:

1. Environmental Demands:  Office environment varies, including working out of the Conshohocken, PA office. Travel to clients and off-site programs, often over the weekend, required. Air and train travel necessary and often times required to drive to meetings. Frequently required to be available outside regular working hours.
