Senior Formulation Scientist

We have a need for two, experienced Sr. Formulation Scientists at our Parsippany, NJ Innovation Center.

Responsibilities

? Lead New Product Development Projects and work cross- functionally, toward the creation of new, innovative consumer healthcare portfolio that support product claims and meet the needs of the consumer.
? With Superior knowledge of the full R&D new product development work independently designing experiments and carrying out scientific work maximizing full state-of-the-art technology.
? Continually set and refine project priorities, as necessary, to remain focused on objectives and project milestones under rapidly changing circumstances.
? Act as New Product Development representative at both internal project review meetings, and at external professional associations.
? Work in accordance with GSK Consumer Healthcare R&D?s strict quality guidelines, and ensure adherence to GMP, safety, SOP and other GSK policies both at the corporate and local management level.


Basic Qualifications

 

 BS degree in chemistry, pharmacy, or another science-related discipline.
? 5-10 years of proven success in bringing new products to market within a pharmaceutical or regulated consumer products company.
? Demonstrated expertise in Solid Dosage Forms (Wet and Dry granulation)
? Ability to manage multiple projects and work on cross-functional teams.
? Ability to work within specific project timelines set forth by the business objectives.
? Strong knowledge of both domestic and international regulatory requirements.
? Ability to writes technical papers.
? Must be a strategic thinker with a high level of innovation.
? Must have ability to translate key scientific learning into development programs.
? Familiar with statistics and project management software.
? Clear communicator in both oral and written form.


Preferred Qualifications

 

 PhD
? Pre-formulation Experience
? Novel dosage forms for topical drug delivery
? Knowledge of GSK Consumer Healthcare products
