Senior Level Medical Device Engineer

**Our client is an exceptionally well-funded start-up company with a strong leadership team -- a company developing breakthrough technology in the Class III medical device industry. (All fees are client paid.)**

 

Senior project team member responsible for the analysis/design of instruments and implants under minimal supervision.

Job Functions:
--Contribute as an effective team member/leader throughout product development
--Perform market assessment with the launch of new products and consequently generate recommendations for future products and market opportunities
--Assist with direction of testing protocol and aid in the testing process
--Prepare introduction and summary of test reports with R&D staff
--Assist in patent application preparation and possible infringement evaluation
--Observe surgeries and work with surgeons to generate innovative design solutions
--Work with Marketing and Research to determine the role of data and analysis in the product?s educational and sales dimensions

Skills/Qualifications:
--B.S. degree in mechanical engineering technology OR mechanical, biomedical, aerospace or materials engineering
--5 years experience in Research and Development, some of which in the medical device industry
--Completion of at least one major development project, including project management experience
--Proficient in CAD modeling, GD&T, drawing standards, plastic design & injection molding, stainless steels and other medical device materials
