Senior Manager Supply Chain Agreements

SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Senior Manager, Supply Chain Agreements, is responsible for negotiating and executing supply agreements with Contract Service Providers (CSP) and maintaining and supporting the relationships on an on-going basis.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with management to establish a company-wide process for identifying, selecting, conducting due diligence, and negotiating and executing supply and service agreements for company CSP across the company.
Participate with due diligence team in identification and selection of new CSPs for future development and commercial supply.
Develop and manage strategic partnerships with the CSP for development and commercial work for drug substance, drug product, product line extensions and new technologies.
Negotiate directly the supply agreements and contracts with the CSP, and maintain the CSP relationships on an on-going basis after executing the agreements.
Develop with appropriate cross-functional resources and management performance metrics for the CSP to monitor performance and to establish Preferred Supplier criteria.
Collaborate with the Manufacturing Support and Technical Operations functions to resolve problem and issues with the CSP as required. Collaborate with the Supply Operations Director in the generation of product demand based on marketing forecasts.
Communicate the Supply Operations generated production forecasts to the CSP as stipulated in the supply agreements.
Conduct the reviews and revisions of the supply agreement drafts with other cross-functional resources.
Maintains effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusts effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements or cultures.
Makes customers and their needs a primary focus one?s actions; develops and sustains productive customer relationships.
Actively participates as a member of a team to move the team toward the completion of goals.
Uses appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to influence and build effective relationships with business partners (e.g., peers, functional partners, external vendors and alliance partners)

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

BS degree in Engineering, Science, Business or related field
Minimum of 7 years in pharmaceutical or related industries with experience with contract manufacturers and other third party providers.
Must have good behavioral and human relations skills. Must understand and be able to demonstrate WIN-WIN negotiating style. Must be able to work in a virtual organization and deal effectively with diverse individuals within the Contract Services Providers organizations. Must be able to accomplish company objectives through diplomatic encouragement and motivation.
