Senior Product Manager (Specialty Acute Care) w/High Visibility for Central NJ Biopharma Company
Senior Product Manager
My client, a fully-integrated biopharmaceutical company located in Central New Jersey, with a portfolio of acute care hospital products, a late stage pipeline, and a record of technological and financial strength, is focused on discovering, developing and commercializing innovative therapies for severe or life-threatening diseases. The company is also a leader in the development of humanized monoclonal antibodies and has licensed patents to numerous pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, some of which are now paying royalties on net sales of licensed products. Along with company growth comes the rewarding opportunity to join their expanding team. I am currently seeking a Senior Product Manager to fill a critical and highly visible role. In this role, you will serve as the Brand Leader, the in-house go-to person, the brand champion for the product. This is a leadership role.

Reports to:Director of Specialty Marketing
Salary: $115,0000 - $130,000 base
Plus 14% target bonus

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the brand as it prepares for launch in 2007. There are specific requirements for the position, so please read closely.
Responsibilities:
Lead all commercial product marketing aspects in the pre-launch and launch period for the Specialty Marketing Team
Strategic marketing and tactical plan development
Lead the successful launch of a specialty acute care product
Oversee product planning and budgeting, including management of the launch team playbook
Oversee product market research activities (requires some analytical experience in market research and forecasting), including demand and revenue forecasts
Oversee promotional strategy, including promotional campaign management, agency oversight, and leading brand positioning and key messages
Facilitate internal team coordination, with extensive interaction with sales, sales operations, sales training, communications, clinical affairs and reimbursement teams
Integrate market observations with strong commercial analysis to bring clarity to current and short-term business needs
Prepare materials and presentations for the sales force POA meetings as well as commercial management and other internal groups
Drive product planning process and implementation, including customer segment messaging, positioning, and measurement of effectiveness of tactics
Lead launch meeting planning and content development
Anticipate how decisions will impact other parts of the organization and its products.
Provide solutions for a way forward in relation to tactics and achievement of brand objectives
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred
3-5 years of increasing responsibility in product marketing in a PHARMACEUTICAL OR BIOTECH capacity (if you don't have this experience, please don't apply)
Prior pharma/biotech launch experience a requirement (new product launch, not extensions or new formulations)
Therapeutic experience in the following required: any acute care area (nephrology (renal disease), hepatology (liver disease), or solid organ transplant is a plus)
Must have acute care marketing experience
Experience in leading cross-functional teams and/or prior management experience required
Past experience in pharma/biotech sales and/or analytical roles such as Market Research
Strong analytical skills (quantitative skillset)
Strong communication and presentation skills
Strategic planning experience
Results-oriented
Ability to be product champion, internally and externally
Driven personality, gets along well with all levels
