Senior Research Associate

We are currently looking for a skilled and talented biochemist or biologist for maintaining and developing automated multiplex protein assays on automated platform. The specific research area targeted will be immunology and protein-protein interactions. The individual will join a scientific team dedicated to the integration of these immunoassays onto our proprietary, state-of-the-art microfluidics instrument platform

 

This position requires

 

?  BS/MS degree in life sciences and  at least 2-4 years of industrial or relevant experience;

?  Previous experience in protein biochemistry or immunology;

?  Strong ability to analyze data in a quantitative and objective manner;

?  Broad knowledge of Excel;

?  Strong documentation and communication skill.

 

Preferred background

 

?  Prior experience with ELISA or other sandwich assay, SDS-PAGE, spectroscopy, and protein modification

?  Familiarity with automated equipment;

?  Familiarity with spotting and scanning/imaging technologies.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

 Perform manual and automated multiplex protein assays;Conduct in-depth analysis of results with a high degree of independence;Maintain laboratory supplies and equipment;Ordering of supplies and communicate with vendors when necessary;Assist in writing reports and protocols; Perform other duties as required.
