Description

Odyssey Thera is looking for a senior scientist with a strong background in high content image analysis (HCA) to lead efforts to QC and validate profiling data from internal screening projects and corporate partnerships, and actively monitor performance of our diverse assay panel over the lifetime of multi-year projects.  This role requires rigorous hands-on data validation and QC, analysis and interpretation of quantitative high content and other cell-based assay data.  The successful applicant must work closely and communicate effectively with staff from bioinformatics, instrumentation and biology disciplines to achieve project goals.

 

Requirements

The position requires a Ph.D. in cell biology, or related discipline, with a minimum of 4 years of industrial experience.  The successful candidate will be detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and with a demonstrated ability to make sound scientific interpretations in a fast-paced environment.  Extensive experience with high content image analysis and/or high throughput screening/profiling using cell based assays strongly preferred.  Extensive experience in data QC and analysis of large datasets and signal transduction expertise are highly desirable.  Experience with diverse cell-based functional/phenotypic assays is also a plus.  The successful applicant must have excellent interpersonal, oral and written presentation skills and be able to interact effectively in a highly-matrixed environment.
