Solid Dose Formulation Technician/ Chemist- Nutraceuticals
Kelly Scientific Resources offers a full-range of scientific staffing options and is currently recruiting for a Solid Dose Formulations Technician for a manufacturer of nutritional supplements in Tempe, AZ. This is a temp to hire position, but could be direct hire for the ideal candidate.
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Formulations Manager and working with tablet & capsule nutritional products. Work will revolve around new product development & improved efficiencies.
General responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Interacting with different departments to address manufacturing problems, verify formulas vs label claims and come up with new formulations.
- Maintaining appropriate records
- Complying with all cGLP/GMP, FDA and safety requirements
We are in search of qualified candidates with the following experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Nutritional Science, Food Science or Chemistry.
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a nutraceutical or pharmaceutical environment
- AA or AS with 3-5 years APPLICABLE experience will be strongly considered.
- Very strong MATH skills required.
- Tablet or Caplet Experience is a must, preferably in nutraceuticals but pharmaceuticals is okay too.
- This experience can be in FORMULATIONS or MANUFACTURING of tablets & capsules. Liqueds & powders experience may be substituted.
- Demonstrated knowledge of SOP's, cGLP's/GMP's, and FDA requirements.
