Specimen Processor I

Opportunities for detail-oriented, quick learner with solid data entry skills. Must possess ability to work in fast paced environment and follow laboratory procedures.

HOURS:
Monday through Friday with alternating Saturdays.
11:30 pm to 7:30 am.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
?Process all submittals and specimens for testing in a timely and accurate manner.
?Responsible for checking-in specimens, labeling, entering data, and prepare specimens to be delivered to appropriate departments.
?Identify and properly store necropsies and frozen specimens
?Split-off specimens for multiple testing and prepare original tubes for the centrifuge.
?Responsible for preparing specimens and paperwork for outside lab testing.
?Build computer worklists and workloads for lab testing.
?Verify accuracy of all data entered.





Requirements:

EDUCATION:

High school diploma preferred

EXPERIENCE:

Some lab experience is required
Good oral and written skills
Data entry/typing skills are important
