Sr. Business Analyst

PDL BioPharma, Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company focused on discovering, developing and commercializing innovative therapies for severe or life-threatening illnesses. The company currently markets a portfolio of leading products in the acute-care hospital setting in the United States and Canada, and generates royalties through licensing agreements with top-tier biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, based on its pioneering antibody humanization technology. Our product pipeline includes six investigational compounds in Phase 2 or Phase 3 clinical development for hepatorenal syndrome, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, cardiovascular disorders and cancer. We currently have the following opportunity in our Fremont, CA location: 

 

Sr. Product Manager

(4349-R)

 

The individual will be responsible for leading market analysis, benchmarking and research to develop key marketing strategies in accordance with PDL?s business strategic objectives for a defined product or portfolio of products. Leads the development of global product marketing strategies including, market definition, market modeling, establishing relationships with key customers and clinical centers, launch plans, communications and key message development.

 

Responsibilities:

? Develop strategies for product and portfolio of products that will contribute to long term growth and also guide commercial and R&D activities to maximize revenues and product development.

? Create strategies that are applicable to all major markets that lead to a consistent global strategy for the product/portfolio.

? Collaborate and build  consensus among functional areas and markets relative to new product strategies, initiatives, and commercial development.

? Prepare and maintain complete and up-to-date commercial assessments on all assigned products, including life cycle planning strategy and initiatives.

? Develop and maintain strong relationships with other functional areas (Clinical, Preclinical and Discovery, Regulatory, Legal, Market Research, Medical Marketing, Technical Operations, and Business Development) and through those relationships, advances product or portfolio opportunities.

? Develop and manage strong sustainable relationships with external constituents (i.e. key opinion leaders, advisors, and vendors).

? Participate in the development of strategies that will contribute to long term growth for the franchises.Participate in product teams.

 

Requirements:

? 5 ? 7 years of pharmaceutical product management/marketing experience.

? Experience with implementing programs through key functional groups.

? Operational marketing experience across a broad range of product life cycle situations.

? Must have previously developed and implemented a marketing plan and aunched a new product/indication successfully.

? Understanding of the drug development process and the scientific and business decisions that are made at each stage.

? Understanding of the regulatory review process and how to influence regulatory claims.
