Summary: Very attractive opportunity to make a real difference with this company and in the lives of people suffering with cancer.  Lead/manage one or more oncology clinical studies/trials, and work closely with other drug development team representatives (based in the USA and overseas) to study new oncology drugs/treatments.

 

Location: North New Jersey. Reverse commutable from New York City via public transportation. Commutable also from areas around the Tappan Zee Bridge. You can work here and live in either rural, suburban, or city areas. They offer flex time to help you avoid typical New Jersey rush hour traffic.

 

 

Responsibilities:Design, plan, and execute domestic and/or global Phase I ? III clinical trials for one or more Oncology drugs/treatments Directly manage full-time and contract in-house CRAs.Serve on International Cross-Functional Clinical Development Project Teams with colleagues in Europe and Asia.Select, negotiate and oversee CROs.Get involved with protocol development, developing informed consent forms and CRFs.Domestic travel of approximately 10-15% for things like Investigator Meetings, visiting problem sites, etc.Interact with Senior Management, which has an open door policy.Report to an Associate Director of Oncology Clinical Operations.Help identify risks to projects and come up with solutions. Compile benchmark metrics to determine project progress.

 

 

Experience Required in a Nutshell:7 or more years of clinical research experience gained working in industry for a Pharmaceutical Company or CRO. Strong clinical research and operations Oncology experience is required to be considered for this opportunity.Significant Phase II or III oncology experience is desired.Global clinical study/trial experience is a definite plus.Direct management experience is a big plus. CRO management experience is a big plus.Very good oral communication skills are required as is a team-player mentality.Ability to travel 10% - 15%.

 

 

Compensation/Benefits:Compensation will vary depending upon depth and quality of Oncology Clinical Research and Operations experience gained working in industry.  Total Compensation (base salary plus bonus) can range as high as $135,000, consisting of an annual base salary in the $90k to $110k range, and a consistently paid double-digit bonus.  This position is also eligible for the following very attractive benefits:Immediately available and unlimited tuition reimbursement (which is also available to help you attract direct reports)An excellent 401(k) plan.Subsidized use of the on-site gym or an off-site private gym of your choice.Half-day Fridays during the SummerFlex starting time
