Sr. Clinical Program Leader/Manager

This position is a Program Manager for a large CNS substance abuse project.

 

This project leadership role will require management of a large program of projects involving 2 large functional groups outside of Clinical Operations. The Program Manager (PM) is a key player within the clinical research team and will be required to possess extensive experience and knowledge of project management requirements. The PM will have worked with project management tools within the Clinical Operations or Project Management setting (i.e., timeline and budget management software), and would have managed the work of large groups of people who do not directly report to them.

The PM will be in charge of providing strategic oversight to other key team members to include high-level planning of key project deliverables, resource management, and priority setting. The PM will provide mentorship and guidance to Project Leaders within Clinical Operations working on this program.

Face-to-face meetings with the sponsor will be required every 2-3 weeks. The PM will serve as the central point of contact and will be responsible for completing and delivering program reports to the client on a monthly basis. The ability to work with a variety of individuals within a clinical research environment and to be an effective communicator is required.

In addition, the Program Manager will be responsible for:
Management and negotiation of sub-contracts 
Oversight and management of Invoicing
Oversight and management of program priorities including coordination of multiple project plans, 
including timelines, resourcing and forecasting 
Serve as the principal sponsor contact for program questions and escalation
The Program Manager is responsible for managing 30 protocols.

Education/Training:

Bachelor's Degree, preferably Master's Degree.

 

Experience:
Program Management experience with multicenter clinical trials
3-5 years Multicenter Clinical Trials Project Management experience (of which 1 year includes government trials)
1 year Data Management experience
1-2 years CNS experience with clinical trials
1 year Government Trials experience
Electronic Data Capture (EDC) experience with clinical trials.
