Sr Process Engineer I

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

- This position will be a part of a group that provides engineering and data mining support to WBP Andover Manufacturing in support of process troubleshooting and process improvements. The responsibilities of the job include:
- Performing data analyses for investigations that result from process monitoring and SQC program, in order to discover improvements to DS processes.
- Extracting, reducing and analyzing manufacturing data using data trending and statistical techniques.
- Documenting all results of investigations and for contributing documentation to reports written by others.
- Provide data compilation and analysis to support manufacturing.

- Support ongoing continuous improvement and cost containment programs to improve operational cycle time and production cost of goods.



Requirements:

- A BS in Engineering plus 8 yrs exp, MS Engineering plus 6 yrs or BS Science plus 10 yrs, MS science plus 8 yrs experience in process development or manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of SQC and statistics including, evaluating process capability, control charting techniques, reducing process variability, correlation analysis and ANOVA is desired.
- Expertise in manipulating data with MS Excel, and working with statistical software such as JMP.
- Expertise in using MS Access
- Ability to program in visual basic and write MACROS.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Prior experience in biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical manufacturing desired.
- The ability to develop effective working relationships in cross-functional teams, strong oral and written communication skills, computer skills, and interpersonal skills are essential.

- Ability to identify and then work with people from multiple groups to implement, continuous improvement opportunities.

- The position requires initiative, persistence and the ability to work in a matrix management environment.

- The position requires the ability to handle multiple competing priorities.
