Invitrogen is seeking an experienced Sr. Product Manager DNA Micro-Array

 

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for managing Invitrogen?s DNA Microarray Products and Services comprising reagents for all aspects of DNA Microarray Analysis, including Gene Expression and Genomic Profiling.  Responsibilities will include business and portfolio development and management, monitoring revenues, margins, pricing, and product/service performance from inception, through the entire product life cycle. 

Additional responsibilities include revenue forecasting, partnering with marketing communications to prepare promotional materials, sales training, and continuous interfacing with external customers to support sales efforts, and research collaborations. Good presentation skills are required for both internal and external presentations. Monitoring competitors and keeping abreast with major scientific advances is also necessary when coordinating with R &D to drive new product development.

 


QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors and/or advanced degree in Molecular Biology, Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Genetics, or related disciplines.

MBA preferred.

3+ years of product management experience preferred.

Solid hands-on experience in marketing and/or selling DNA Microarray products/services.

Proven ability to market technically sophisticated products an asset.

Passionate management traits are essential.

Strong domain knowledge of life science or related industries.

Thought leadership style.

Excellent communication and influencing skills to develop and retain internal and external relationships.
