Sr Quality Technician (Microbiology)

 Participates in protocol studies, verification testing and test reporting on existing products. Provides information & support for test/inspection equipment maintenance including troubleshooting.  Identifies need for corrective actions, assists with implementation and follow-up efficiency.



 A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Biology or Microbiology is required.  Qualified candidates will have at least six (6) months related experience in microbiology lab.  Candidates must be knowledgeable of GMP’s and proficient in general laboratory practices.  Proficiency in microbiological assays and techniques (plate counts, aseptic techniques, etc.) and lab test equipment usage (sterilizers, centrifuges, sterile hoods).  Strong test report writing skills is an asset.

 

The ability to work both first (7:00 a.m. –3:30 p.m.) and second shift (2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.), overtime and occasional weekends is essential.
