Sr. Scientist/Associate Director(4291-R)

 

The successful candidate will head established teams of senior and junior research associates responsible for all aspects of hybridoma generation and screening, and antibody and Fc fusion protein purification. Our hybridoma effort focuses on functional and reagent antibodies for targets and drug candidates in the areas of cancer, autoimmune and cardiovascular disease. In coordination with Research project Management, this position is responsible for a timeline-oriented and productive workflow within the group and with other teams involved in molecular biology, target validation, and immunizations. The Sr. Scientist will also be relied on to lead the Antibody Development Group and evaluate new techniques and approaches to improve workflow and manage relevant collaborations in conjunction with other departments.

 

Requirements:A Ph.D. in a biological science and 8+ years of industry experience.  Proven track record of scientific accomplishments in the field of membrane proteins and/or immunology.Familiarity with techniques involved in antibody or protein purification.  A proven ability to successfully manage and motivate reports.Team building and project coordination experience in a fast-paced, goal and timeline-oriented environment is preferred.  Highly organized, proactive and flexible.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact productively with multiple teams in a collaborative environment
