ChanTest Inc. is a Cleveland, Ohio-based, internationally-recognized company that provides non-clinical drug safety testing and discovery services to the biopharmaceutical industry.  ChanTest is searching for a motivated, team player to fill a full-time, permanent position within a GLP laboratory environment:

 

Staff Scientist 

 

The minimum qualifications are a BS/BA in the life sciences, chemistry or electrical engineering.  Experience with cellular electrophysiology is preferred, but not required.  Laboratory experience is required. 

 

Under the supervision of a Study Director, the staff scientist will be responsible for performing non-clinical safety testing of drugs in development and pharmacological research studies in accordance with protocols, study timelines, operating procedures and productivity goals.  This will include equipment set-up, calibration and maintenance; adherence to written protocols; test article and solution preparation; data collection; documentation (both written and electronic); technical problem-solving; data analysis; customer interaction; and preparation of draft reports. The staff scientist is responsible for learning and adhering to regulatory guidelines and company standard operating procedures.  This position requires a customer-service orientation and the ability to work as a member of a team.
