Staff Scientist, Associate - 2448

Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated scientist to lead development and qualification of in vitro cellular assays and immunoassays to support the characterization and development of biopharmaceuticals.

The position provides the opportunity to work on biologically diverse projects such as cancer, cardiovascular, and anti-inflammatory therapies and to make a direct contribution to advancing novel therapies into the clinic.

The successful candidate will perform experiments to characterize, develop and qualify biological potency and immunological methods in support of product release. Opportunity to design and build a GMP-capable bioassay facility.

Excellent organizational, communication and team skills will be required to work closely with internal and external collaborators, enable efficient method transfer and coordinate assay development and sample testing within project timelines.

Requirements:

?PhD in biology or a related subject, with up to 4 years relevant postdoctoral experience, or BS/MS with equivalent experience.
?This position requires a strong background in Molecular Biology, Immunology, Cell Biology or a related field, with hands-on experience in development of biological assays for potency determination.
?Prior experience with a variety of bioassay types such as cell proliferation, cell cytotoxicity, reporter assays, intra-cellular or cell surface staining experiments by FACS, cytokine release assays, ELISA and enzymatic assays is required.
?Experience in method development and qualification for a cGMP environment is preferred.
?The candidate is expected to have excellent written and verbal communication skills, outstanding organizational and team skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced multi-project environment.
