Solexa, Inc. is developing and preparing to commercialize the Solexa Genome Analysis System, which will be used to perform a range of analyses including whole genome resequencing, gene expression analysis and small RNA analysis.  Solexa expects its first generation instrument, the IG Genome Analyzer, to generate over a billion bases of DNA sequence per run and to enable whole genome resequencing below $100,000 per sample, making it the first platform to reach this important milestone.  Solexa's longer-term goal is to reduce the cost of human resquencing to a few thousand dollars for use in a wide range of applications from basic research through clinical diagnostics.  For further information, please visit www.solexa.com

 

We are currently looking for a Stock Administrator.  In this position, you will report to the Sr. Director of Finance; provide analytical and logistical support for the Stock Administrator program; and be responsible for the stock administration database.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES not limited to, the following:Responsible for the day to day transactions for all stock plans including all date input, employee records and distribution of related documents, broker and transfer agen communications and instructions, and intergrity of the databaseEmployee communications, new hire orientation, processing of departmental purchase orders and paymentsStock related accounting and close related inputsAssumptions for FAS 123R reportingPreparation of reports for audit and tax departmentsEnsure and maintain compliance with SOX 404 requirements

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in stock administration in the areas of stock options, ESPP plans, and restricted stockEquity Edge SoftwareSection 16 requirements and filingsMust also be an effective communicator with outstanding written, verbal, and relationship skillsIdeal candidate should be detail oriented; strive for a high quality work product; act with the utmost integrity, and be a team player, but also be able to work independently

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:High School Graduate, some College desired
