Supervisor, Shipping & Receiving

Advanced BioHealing is a leader in regenerative medicine. We are focused on the development and marketing of cell based and tissue engineered products. We are a privately held, New York based company, with two approved products: Dermagraft? and TransCyte?. Our development pipeline also includes a next-generation bioengineered wound therapy for which an Investigational Device Exemption application has been submitted to the FDA. 

 

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Supervisor, Shipping & Receiving.

 

This position is directly responsible for Shipping and Receiving personnel and general department operations.  The person in this position assigns area responsibility, directs the work of  Associates and is concerned with day-to-day Material handling activities and final product logistics.  These activities include receiving, warehousing, cycle counting, picking, packing and shipping of miscellaneous materials and finished goods to final destinations in a manner that meets predefined schedules.  Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining  policies and procedures per the appropriate QSRs, researching and reconciling discrepancies and supervising, training, coaching and developing Associates.  The person holding this position will develop, manage and report the achievement of specific annual Shipping and Receiving goals which support Materials Management, Operations, and Corporate Goals.  The person in this position must not compromise safety and must view service to customers as a high priority.

 

Specifics responsibilities include:

 

?  Schedule and supervise daily activities maximizing customer satisfaction

?  Develop, manage and report progress towards achievement of annual departmental goals

?  Coach and develop Associates and provide regular and timely feedback

?  Identify and implement process improvements including warehousing and shipping efficiency measures

?  Setup and maintain QAD, and appropriate Shipping computer systems

?  Review, revise and develop new procedures and conduct training as required for n Associates

?  Research and reconcile inventory discrepancies and customer complaints.

 

 

Qualified candidates must possess the following educational background, skills and experience:

 

High school graduate with some college; BA/BS is desirable. 5-7 years experience in Distribution and Warehousing. Forklift certification is desirable.  APICS, CPM or Materials Management certification recommended



This position requires a strong knowledge of shipping finished goods and materials, storage and inventory management principles and associated information systems.  Familiarity with GMP and ISO requirements is highly essential.
