Surgical Sales Executive

Our client is an independent medical device company dedicated to the research; development and marketing of tissue implant products. The company's core technology, Permacol? surgical implant, is based around collagen derived from porcine dermis which, when implanted in the human body, is non-allergenic and long-lasting - addressing clearly identified clinical needs in the surgical reconstruction, recontouring and repair of human tissue.

 

 

 

Surgical Sales Executive

 

 REPORTS TO:

Regional Sales Manager

 

JOB PURPOSE:

To successfully implement our client?s established sales strategies and tactics to achieve or exceed revenue and profit targets for Permacol in North America, working with current and targeted customers in assigned sales territory.

 

 PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

?Achieve territorial sales, revenue and profit targets

?Execute sales plans based on field experience and market research that will result in significant sales growth

?Identification of major sales opportunities and trends within assigned sales territory

-Identify and develop relationships with key opinion leaders to interface with the development of new and existing products

Ensure that all actions and dealings are carried out in a professional manner and within the correct legal boundaries to ensure compliance FDA regulations/guidelines.

-Professionally represent TSL and its activities to external customers, suppliers, regulators and third parties.

-Follow and comply with all relevant TSL policy and quality system procedures and practice

Contribute to the implementation of continual improvement processes within TSL and undertake to satisfy internal and external customers

-Work effectively with TSL colleagues to participate and contribute to the successful completion of both personal, team and business quality objectives

-Maintain an effective and accurate personal record of training in compliance with TSL training system policy and procedure

-Ensure that all duties are performed in accordance with prescribed TSL policies and procedures with due consideration to health, safety and environmental risk.

 

 JOB CONTEXT / KEY CHALLENGES:

 Maintain an understanding of Medical Device standards, regulations and directives (i.e. QSR CFR 21 Part 820, ISO 9001:1994, EN 46001, ISO 9001:2000, ISO 13485, Medical Device Directive MDD/42/EEC)

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

 

?College degree

 

?5 years experience in Medical Device Industry in a territorial sales representative role

 

?Demonstrated history of successful sales success

 

?Must have a strong understanding of hospital policies and understand the sales cycle

 

?Must be knowledgeable in surgical procedures and have credentials to allow entry into surgical suites

 

?Must be a self-starter and able to operate with minimal supervision

 

?Worked with key opinion leaders on the development and introduction of surgical medical devices 

 

-Must possess and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with fellow employees and customers

 

 

Quota: $300,000 annually/ $25,000 per month
