Systems Administrator, Professional Services

In this position, you will be responsible for the developing and maintaining systems used by Professional Services (PS) and Medical Affairs, in response to requests from formulary decision makers, internal colleagues, healthcare professionals (HCPs), and others, for scientifically balanced, comprehensive clinical information and data. We are looking for a person who can understand, implement, and maintain information databases and websites used to communicate scientific concepts yet balance clinical objectives with business opportunities. The first major system you will administrate is our Information Request Management System (IRMS), maintaining all documentation and SRLs. You will perform daily QA of inquiries and responses and review and support daily drug safety reports of adverse events and PCs. Trending report and analysis will include FAQ development and SRL implementation. Besides liaising with the vendor, you will provide ongoing training and CQI to all IRMS users as well as troubleshooting support. Other duties include monthly copyright reconciliation, enclosures maintenance, and PPD reprint fulfillment. You will also administrate the Professional Services Information Portal (PSIP) by keeping up-to-date corporate product bibliographies, databases, and article/abstract files; supervising access to medical information; providing routine reports of PS projects; linking updates to SRLs, NDA summaries, bibliographies, and searches; and pushing updates and new information to all PS and Med Affairs personnel. Lastly, supervision of the Medical Information Research system will require providing weekly medical/product information to interested CVT employees, supporting PS Information Specialists and Med Affairs with ad hoc information research, and assisting the Medical Communications team and Drug Safety group and all field-based Information Consultants.

 

A bachelor?s degree in Computer Science and/or a healthcare discipline, with one to three years of experience in managed care or in a hospital setting, is required. IRMS experience is a plus. You must have the ability to perform clinical research searches efficiently and understand the legal/regulatory requirements with regard to medical information. Excellent computer, project management, documentation, and communication skills are necessary. Experience in cardiovascular disease is preferred. There will be occasional travel.
