We are currently seeking a IT Systems Specialist to join our Indianapolis, IN team. As a IT Systems Specialist, you will be reponsible for providing expert level support for systems used by the global Resource Management (RM) organization. Initially, this role will focus on MS Access development, but will likely grow into other applications.



In this position, you will work with our global RM management and staff, providing an exciting and challenging opportunity to work virtually all Covance businesses. You will be focused on leading efforts associated with building, maintaining, acquiring, integrating, and implementing systems associated with RM processes. This will include:



Helping users develop requirements.

Database building and maintenance

Functional enhancements and general inquiries

Training new users and internal customers

Harmonizing applications across RM groups

Serving as liaison with global IT and vendors regarding support, and software optimization.

This role requires an individual who enjoys working on multiple projects without the need for direct supervision, making customer service a priority.

Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/REQUIRED LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS:

B.S. degree in relevant subject; 4-6 years related experience (e.g., Resource Management, Project Management). Experience/other related education may be substituted.

Advanced level computer skills; Usage and experience in basic programming logic and database structure; Advanced skills in Microsoft Access applications and Excel.

Familiarity with Life Science/Contract Service business and general operating procedures.
