TECHNICIAN

Position code: 4290 Position Title: TECHNICIAN Work Location: New Jersey - Nutley Corporate Headquarters



Major Responsibilities:

In this important role, you will be responsible for supporting Drug Discovery and Non-Clinical Drug Safety in the drug discovery and safety process. Responsibilities will include all phases of large and small animal toxicity studies according to SOP and GLP guidelines, including study initiation, daily dosing (iv, ip, sc, po, dietary admixture), ophthalmic and neurological exams. Additional responsibilities will include ECG?s, weekly body weights and food consumption, accurate reading of observations and retro-orbital bleedings. Additionally, you will review and verify data entries for accuracy, thoroughness and consistency, and review SOP?s for changes, corrections, or revisions. Conducting basic animal surgery will also be required.

Qualifications:

To be successful, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least one year of relevant experience. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in this team oriented environment are required. Computer literacy in Microsoft Work and Excel is desired. Must be available to work weekends, holidays and overtime.
