Technical Service 2

We are expanding our existing customer base and introducing new products and services in the areas of gene expression profiling and characterization.  We are seeking an individual with a technical background who will understand the needs of our customers and will be able to provide solutions for their research needs. We have an immediate opening for a Technical Service/Inside sales representative within our Sales Department in Frederick, Maryland.

The Technical Service representative will be responsible for providing technical support to existing customers using SuperArray products, and properly diagnosing new customers needs to provide recommendations and quotations for new products and services.  Work responsibilities will involve roughly 50% post sales support, 50% pre sales qualification, and follow up.  Our customers are located all over the world, and contact us regularly for assistance on their research, specifically in the Gene Expression and Characterization areas. 

 

Opportunities exist to work closely with the sales and marketing teams in new product evaluation, proposal and launch processes. High level knowledge of Molecular biology, real-time PCR and microarray experience is required.  Customer communication will be primarily by email and telephone.

Qualifications:
MS Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or related Life Science.  Ph.D strongly preferred.
Minimum 4-years hands-on molecular biology laboratory experience with direct knowledge of gene expression techniques, RT PCR, and shRNA.

Fluent in English with excellent writing skills.

Energetic, well-organized, capable of multi talking and providing high-quality customer service.

No travel required, 25% travel possible.

This position reports directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing.
