Technical Support Specialist (Training) - Imaging Products

 This person is critical to effective customer and service support for all Imaging Products produced in the Downers Grove facility.

 

Position Responsibilities:

 Provide product support (hardware, software and/or application) over the phone and by email to both internal (marketing/ manufacturing) and external (Field service/ Field Service Specialists/End-user) customers based on a variety of assigned  products (50% minimum phone support required).Develop, Produce and Deliver Technical Training Courses on assigned products for both Customer Service Engineers and End-Users.Act as a liaison between engineering, manufacturing and field service to interject field requirements into the product development process and to resolve outstanding field issues in a timely manner.  Provide product status and follow-up technical information to the field via Service Data Bulletins and other written media.Author and develop service support materials. Provide feedback information on product quality and integrity including customer satisfaction to internal departments. Thorough understanding of hardware, software and application support on a specific product(s) line.Perform other, related, functions as assigned.

 

Experience Required:

 Strong technical and PC related skills (working knowledge of current operating systems).Knowledge of scientific applications appreciated.Strong troubleshooting skills and Excellent communication skills required. Previous training experience preferred.Highly motivated with strong organizational skills. Self-starter/learner.Prior in house technical support/ field service experience preferred.

 

Education Required:

 Associate degree in electronics or equivalent work experience.Life Science degree with lab experience preferred
