Territory Sales Specialist - Cellular Sciences

PerkinElmer, Inc (PKI) is a $1.7B global provider of products and services for the Health Sciences and Industrial Technologies markets. PerkinElmer Life & Analytical Sciences (LAS) is one of three strategic businesses at PKI. It is a $1.1B global provider of scientific instruments, reagents, consumables, and services for the Health Sciences industry.

 

The Cellular Sciences Sales Specialist will partner with Account Managers and Instrument Reps to drive sales for the Western region. Activities would include setting up technical seminars, attending account vendor shows and coordinating demo logistics with customers and the PKI service business. This individual will drive opportunity through the sales process to close large capital sales and also engage in Post Sale activities to enable customer satisfaction and leverage wins to drive new opportunities. The Specialist will also prospect for the business via key contacts, web, journals, tradeshows, etc.

 

This position requires a Bachelors degree in a scientific discipline (Biochemistry, Chemistry, etc.), but an advanced degree or PhD is strongly preferred. This role also requires 5 years of directly relevant Sales experience with High Level Selling skills that would enable this individual to close Large Capital Instrument sales within the life science industry. This individual must also be able to understand and develop the markets to sell new technology.
