Trainer III (QC Lab)

If you bring these qualities to your work, then we'd like you to consider joining our team.Plans, coordinates and conducts in-service training programs for laboratory services, laboratory operations and laboratory technical services personnel and provides guidance and training to other staff.

Provides work direction and basic training to new Trainers.
Trains new hires in Lab Services, Lab Operations and Lab Technical Services in areas of SOPs, safety and basic laboratory skills.
Maintains and updates lesson plans and training modules used to orient new hires or train existing laboratory personnel.
Performs certification / recertification of laboratory personnel; trains all lab employees, as needed for corrective action, preventative measures and safety issues.
Develops and disseminates, enrolls program participants, monitors program effectiveness, tracks attendance, maintains training records and prepares periodic reports.
Updates training and testing procedures to respond to new SOPs.
Prepares, edits and coordinates the production of training materials; develops specialized training materials and sessions.
Develops and recommends revised training policies and procedures.
Serves as a liaison between the other Departments; initiates / documents training course requests
Ensures safety of laboratory personnel through routine inspections of safety equipment and enforcement of safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications
Knowledge of:

Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), USP Requirements, Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and other regulatory requirements.
Broad knowledge of the principles and practices of Chemistry and Biology.
Broad understanding of all SOPs.
Equipment, materials and procedures used in the lab.
Training theories and practices including the development of lesson plans and training materials.
Adult learning principles and effective customer service practices and procedures.
Modern office practices and personal computer operation including Microsoft office software applications

Skill in:

Implementing goals, objectives and practices for effective, efficient and cost effective management of allocated resources.
Interpreting and analyzing technical data and regulations to develop training materials and programs.
Planning, organizing, scheduling and conducting in-service training classes.
Safely operate personal computer, audio-visual, laboratory and standard office equipment.
Preparing and maintaining detailed records in an automated environment.
Clear and concise oral and written communication in the development/presentation of training classes and training related materials.
Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with management, other departments, supervisors and employees.
