The selected candidate will provide expertise and leadership in drug development and regulatory strategy to clients and to internal, multidisciplinary project teams. In this role you will lead and/or participate in discussions and/or meetings with regulatory authorities; collaborate with the Division?s Business Development Department on client identification and development for new and existing projects; serve as Team Leader and/or Clinical R&D team member on multidisciplinary project teams. You will also lead, oversee and/or participate in the writing and/or review of clinical protocols, study reports, and documents for regulatory submissions as appropriate; lead, oversee and/or participate in interpretation and analysis of data from clinical studies; and lead, oversee and/or participate in the planning and conduct of professional scientific meetings. Additionally you will participate in professional development through journal articles and by presenting at and attending conferences and professional meetings; serve as the medical monitor for clinical studies as appropriate. Management Responsibilities include to lead, develop, grow and manage scientific staff in the Clinical R&D and Clinical Operations department; develop departmental budgets in collaboration with Finance, control costs and manage to achieve revenue targets; lead the development and implementation of processes and policies as related to the Clinical R&D Clinical Operations department; serve as a member of the U.S. Senior Operations Team; and other duties as assigned.

The qualified candidate will have an MD, board certified in a primary medical specialty. Must have a minimum of ten years experience in clinical research and drug development and regulatory science; and have an in depth understanding of Clinical Pharmacology. Proven leadership and people management experience is required. Must have excellent written and verbal skills, as well as demonstrated problem-solving ability, data-interpretation, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to plan/organize. Excellent presentation skills is also required. Extensive travel requirements: approximately 30 ? 50 percent.
