AZTEC CENTER BUILDING SERVICES MANAGER
The Aztec Center Building Services Manager is responsible for facilities maintenance and engineering including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire/life/safety systems, custodial services, grounds and construction project coordination in the Aztec Center Student Union, Scripps Cottage, Children?s Center and Daily Aztec. Other responsibilities include providing recommendations and assisting with the scheduling and coordination of related work at the Imperial Valley Campus Student Union in Calexico. Directs the work of Engineers and Custodians, and contract/vendor services. Serves as the Aztec Center Safety Coordinator and as a representative on the AS Corporate Safety Committee.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, bachelor?s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred with five to seven years experience managing the maintenance and engineering functions in large multi-use facilities; education environment a plus. Experience in repair and maintenance of facilities and equipment including: HVAC, plumbing, electricity, refrigeration, commercial kitchen equipment, water circulation pumps, pneumatic control systems, fire/life/safety systems, elevators, carpentry, painting, grounds maintenance and custodial functions. Experience with work order, preventative maintenance and inventory control systems. Construction project coordination experience involving complex plans and multiple trades strongly preferred. Experience with MSDS and OSHA regulations. Experience formulating and monitoring departmental budgets including creating spreadsheets required. Experience facilitating safety training and programs preferred. Minimum three years demonstrated successful experience in hiring, training and supervising staff in the variety of trades relative to this position.
SALARY & BENEFITS:
Hiring Range: $43,659 - $56,342/per year. Salary Range: $43,659-$69,025. This is a Full-Time, Salaried, Exempt position.
