Building Operator - Electrician III

EMCOR Facilities Services has an immediate opening for a Building Operator III in Miami, FL. The Building Operator III will be responsible for preventative maintenance inspections and general mechanical repairs and installation. The Building Operator III will also serve as a HVAC mechanic in a Data Center environment.


 


Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:


-Supervise Building Operator personnel.


-Operate, repair, and service HVAC components, pumps, valves, compressors, pneumatics and associated systems.


- Respond to facility alarms, systems failures, and building occupant complaints.


-General welding.


-Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and repairs for power generating equipment, Chillers, Cooling Towers, HVAC equipment, and monitoring equipment.


- Perform house rounds and record equipment logs on assigned work shifts.


-Operate facilities’ electrical/mechanical equipment and building management system.


-Required to work rotating shifts


-Participate in department on-call system.


-Complete Work Orders as directed.


-Read and comprehend electrical and mechanical blueprints and control drawings.


-Interact with contractors, or outside vendors, as required.


-Become familiar with and apply building, safety and industry codes and regulations.


 


Qualified candidates will have at least 3 years of experience and must be EPA Refrigerant certified. Must have previous supervisory experience and knowledge of OSHA codes and regulations. Must have experience with chillers, electrical systems, energy management systems, conducting general repairs, package units, pneumatic controls, water treatment systems, and fire life safety. Basic computer skills desired.
