Custodial / Housekeeping Manager (linens/laundry exp.)- 3rd Shift- San Diego, CA

As a Custodial/Housekeeping Manager you will be responsible for the supervision in the completion of all custodial and housekeeping operations for a healthcare facility in San Diego, CA. You will have responsibility for staffing, scheduling, training and developing an hourly staff in addition to handling customer and client requests as they pertain to your department.  Linen/laundry exp. preferred.  This position is for 3rd shift.

UCSD Medical Center - Hillcrest is the primary hospital for the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. The region's only academic medical center offers both primary care and specialized services, including a full range of general and specialty surgery, cardiology, endocrinology, diagnosis and management of genetic diseases, neurology, orthopedics, oncology, pediatrics, reproductive medicine and fertility services, pulmonary medicine, and home health care.  The recently renovated 386-bed hospital at UCSD Medical Center - Hillcrest is also the primary site for such regional services as the comprehensive organ transplant program offering heart, lung, kidney, pancreas, liver and bone marrow transplantation; the Regional Burn Center; the National Institutes of Health-designated Clinical Research Center, the Infant Special Care Center and the region's only National Cancer Institute designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. The Hillcrest hospital also is the county's only Level I Trauma Center.


 







Ideal candidates will possess a bachelor's degree (and/or requisite industry & management experience) as well as the ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services. Previous experience in the hospitality/service industry preferred. Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications required. Contract-managed service experience is desirable.
