Custodial Supervisor

The Custodial Supervisor is responsible for supervising full-time and part-time cleaning personnel including restroom attendants. Daily responsibilities include: prepare and assign daily work schedules in accordance to business requirements as well as review timesheets, prepare vacation and layoff schedules all in accordance to company policy and the collective bargaining agreement. Inspect facility for cleanliness and adherence to the company's cleaning policies and procedures. Review and approve invoices, while maintaining records on inventory supplies and equipment. The position requires familiarity with The Employee Code of Conduct, Time and Attendance Policy and Building Operations Uniform Policy. The knowledge of the aforementioned policies and other established company standards will enable the Supervisor to direct, assign, manage and evaluate the custodians to ensure they meet and follow the company's standards and policies. The supervisor will develop and maintain strong working relationships with other departments and trades staff to ensure a coordinated effort of the workforce. This position also provides the training of new staff. The ideal candidate will have five or more years of experience as a facilities manager or supervisor with knowledge of maintenance equipment. Bi-lingual skills preferred. Must be proficient in computers and Microsoft Office software while having advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Union experiences a plus, must be able to work a flexible schedule primarily nights and weekends.
