Director of Maintenance - Revere, MA

As a the Director of  Maintenance you will direct the facilities management for a unit including engineering, maintenance, custodial and grounds services. You will be responsible for budgeting labor, supplies, equipment and related services/materials required for cost-effective operations. Building and maintaining strong client relations. Will be responsible for training various levels of trade personnel, directing a maintenance department, safety, writing policies and procedures, financial / budget analysis and interpretation, maintenance equipment and client relations.


 

Ideal candidates will possess a high energy level that is communicated to the team they will lead. They will also exhibit a proven track record of growing accounts. In addition, highly developed interpersonal, analytical and communication (written and verbal) skills are essential to success in this role. The ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services is also a key success measure. Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree  in Engineering (and/or requisite industry & management experience) as well as 10 years of facility management experience to include technical knowledge of maintenance equipment, cleaning procedures, and POM activities within a manufacturing facility preferred. The ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services is essential to success in this role. Experience directing skilled, semi-skilled and non-skilled trade personnel in an union and/or non-union environment is required.  Strong financial analysis and interpretation skills and computer skills are necessary. P&L accountability and/or contract-managed service experience is desirable.
