ESTIMATOR - ELECTRICAL: Analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to provide cost, and labor estimates for products, project, or services.? Applying knowledge specialized methodologies, techniques, principles or processes.? Reviews data to determine material and labor requirements and prepares itemized lists.? Prepares estimates used for management purposes, such as organizing, and scheduling work, preparing bids, selecting vendors or subcontract and determining cost effectiveness.? Conducts special studies to develop standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions.? Consults with vendors or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues according to particular service performed.

Takes measurements, such as dimensions, distances to be spanned by wire and cable or space available in buildings and underground vaults which affect installation and arrangement of equipment.? Estimates materials, equipment and incidentals needed for installation.? Draws master sketch showing relation of proposed installation to existing structure.? Makes other drawings, such as pertaining to wiring connections or cross section underground cables, as required for instructions to installation crew.
