Facilities Administrator
Torrance, CA

The purpose of this position is the administration and coordination of budgeting, scheduling, contract negotiations, design and bidding for renovation and new construction projects.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1) Construction/Project Administration - Administration of facilities planning renovation and construction projects through planning, cost control, budgeting and scheduling for new and existing facilities,
2) Contract Administration ? Develop contracts, specifications and purchase orders. Provide direction in the administration of contractual obligations to ensure compliance to disbursement of funds relative to those agreements
3) Architectural/Engineering Design Review ? Provide direction and administer relevant aspects of design development, programming and administration. Ensure drawings are conceptually accurate and meet corporate standards and needs
4) Liaise with appropriate city and/or state officials and other governing authorities

Minimum requirements include but are not limited to:
1) A high school diploma is required but a BA/BS is preferred or equivalent work experience. Extended coursework in the areas of construction management and architectural design are a plus

2) Five or more years of work experience in the field of facility and/or construction administration is necessary
3) Three or more years in the field of facility management and administration with responsibilities of corporate standards specifically in the areas of facilities/construction administration, planning/budgeting, bids/specifications review and sourcing contractors for projects in excess of
$1 million is mandatory
4) Must have knowledge in relevant aspects of facilities construction and tenant improvements
5) Experience with capital experience projects must include proficiency in city/state building codes and regulations and ADA requirements with additional training in the areas of facility management, architectural design and procurement techniques
6) Ability to read blueprints is essential as welll as proficiency in MS Office, CAD skills with an emphasis in construction management, cost accounting and project scheduling software.
